TAKE YOUR ARCHERY BEGINNERS COURSE WITH BICESTER ARCHERSCourse Fees Summer 2024Adults (18+) £70.00Juniors (Aged 10 to 17) £60.00Juniors attendees between the age of 10 and 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times when attending the club.The beginners courses usually take place on a weekend and generally both days will start at 9.00am and run until 1pm. Here are some things about Bicester Archers and Archery that you need to know!
1, Archery will make you fitter and stronger.
2, Archery. Its not as easy as you think! It will take time and hard work to get better. Generally its thought to make an Olympian from a beginner it will take a minimum of 8 years on an Olympic training program to be medal worthy.
3, Archery will make you mentally stronger.
3, We have the best coaches around. Coaches who will get you shooting to a much better standard than you ever though possible.
Especially if you want to challenge yourself.
4, We are a very friendly and inclusive club for members. We are run by members for the benefit of its members. Part of our membership philosophy is to help each other out and come together to make the Bicester Archers club bigger and better as time goes along.
BEGINNERS COURSE FAQ; -
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
To become a shooting member of Bicester Archers you will have to have completed a recognised Archery GB Beginners Course. Our courses have at least 8 hrs of tuition, dont be fooled by other courses that last any shorter than this.
Unfortunately if you have completed this at another place we may ask you to come and have a trial session with us before we can grant membership.
On successful completion of our beginners course you will be issued with a completion certificate that will allow you to join us as a member or given the training you will recieve from us any recognised Archery GB club without any further training.
We pride ourselves on the quality of tuition you will receive on our beginners courses because we actively use the CLEVER Archery Coaching system.

HOW DO I APPLY?
Please fill in the course application form found on the left here.
Please fill in a separate form for each applicant in your party, you will need to refresh the application form page between each submission.
Once received, we will confirm there are spaces available on your chosen course and then email you back a link to pay for your course. This email will show you how to pay for your course and the total figures required including any group discounts if applicable.
Once you have paid, and we have confirmed your payment, we will then confirm your place on the course by sending you our comprehensive CLEVER Archery Coaching course booklet.
Please read through it carefully, it will tell you what happens on both days of the course.
If you have any questions you may have before the course starts this is the time to ask.
The course booklet will tell you everything you need to know about your course, it is updated every after each course. It details what will happen and in what order, what to wear and also has details about what you will need to bring with you.
DO I NEED TO BUY ANYTHING BEFORE THE COURSE?
The simple answer is NO. We will provide everything archery related for you to complete the course.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE COURSE?
On Completion of the course we will give you a completion certificate and a membership form detailing the price of membership.
We provide everything you need to be safe on the course, after paying the membership fee you will be invited to join the club. Your membership fee also allows you to use the club equipment.
When we think you are ready to purchase your own equipment. Almost straight away we will ask you to purchase your own safety equipment such as finger tabs, arrow quivers, arrow pullers and arm guards.
When its right to buy your own bow we will provide you with advice so you can get the right equipment that is suited to you and your growing requirements. Our coaches may even accompany you so you can get the right equipment.
